Deborah Willis will be at the ICP Museum Store (1133 Avenue of the Americas) from 6-7:30pm to sign her new book Obama: The Historic Campaign in Photographs.
Deborah Willis is a photo historian, curator, photographer, chair and professor of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, Department of Photography and Imaging. She was a 2000 MacArthur Fellow, a 1996 recipient of the Anonymous Was a Woman Foundation award, and is one of the nation's leading historians of African American photography and curator of African American culture. Some of her notable projects include Reflections in Black: A History of Black Photographers–1840 to the Present, and Let Your Motto Be Resistance: African American Portraits. She is currently a Visiting Fellow in CCASD's "Engendering the Archives" project.
